The services of ER 24 are available after hours (16:00 – 08:00) to all registered SU students. This includes medical services for medical emergencies as well as the services of a trauma counsellor, free of charge. Counselling can be face to face or telephonically, depending on the need of the student. The medical assessment of a student at the scene is free of charge. A fee will be charged if an ambulance has to transport the student to hospital. If the student is not able to pay for that service, financial assistance from the University can be negotiated with the Director of the Centre for Student Counselling and Development. SU staff are also welcome to contact ER 24 if they need assistance with students in crisis in the class/ academic environment, even if it is during office hours.
