Clinical Guidelines are important in healthcare. Guidelines aim to facilitate standardised patient management, cost-effectiveness and auditing of practice patterns and resource usage.
Course participants will gain an understanding of guideline development, contextualization and implementation. Taught by national and international experts in the field, the course includes both theoretical components and learning of practical skills. Practical skills include guideline appraisal using the AGREE II tool, and formulating clinical recommendations based on evidence.
This course embraces a holistic approach to clinical guidelines related issues which are relevant to national and international contexts. Clinicians, researchers and health care policy makers will benefit from this course.
