The Division for Research Development (DRD) has a brand new website!
Apart from a fresh design, they have repackaged the information to make it more effective in terms of easy navigation. In the past the website was structured around their four management clusters and you basically had to know who deals with what within the Division in order to get to the information you need.
Now, they focus on the support functions in their division, and the top navigation bar will direct you to these. So even if you are not familiar with the structure of the division, you will be able to find what you are looking for without effort (i.e. funding opportunities, information on ethical processes, postdocs, research outputs and accreditation, research related policies, etc.)
Not only do they provide information to researchers on their areas of support and relevant processes, but they also offer institutional research-related information and interesting statistics and facts – all in an effort to make visible why Stellenbosch University is regarded as one of Africa's top universities.
They also offer a new Research Calendar where one can find information on, for example, workshops, funding opportunities and public lecture series. Look out for their Experts Database – to be launched soon – that allows one to find researchers at Stellenbosch University based on their areas of expertise.
