3D printing services available to staff and students.

The Central Analytical Facilities (CAF), which is part of the University of Stellenbosch, has recently started a 3D print lab located inside the Launchlab (Hamandshand road, Stellenbosch).  

The purpose of this facility is to create awareness of this new technology by offering training courses and also 3D printing anything that is requested by anyone.

Some examples of prints that we have done already include: Engineering parts, prototypes, miniature objects scaled to be more visable, architechtural plans, custom cellphone covers, mathematical structures, logos, muscle fibers, lizard scales and rocks.

We only print in plastic.​
