Websites are an all-important communication medium for any institution or company. Therefore an effective website that answers to the needs of readers and clients is non-negotiable.
From 3 – 7 June 2013 the Stellenbosch University Language Centre will be presenting a comprehensive workshop series on the design, development and maintenance of a website. We will aim to equip participants to play a meaningful role in all aspects of website design and management, by focusing on both the technical and the content aspects of a website.
The workshop series consists of three separate sessions, forming a logical unit. Interested persons can, however, also enter for the individual sessions. Please visit our website for more information on the individual sessions:
Session 1: Web texts: Designing effective on-line communication (3 – 4 June)
Session 2: Graphic elements with Photoshop (5 June)
Session 3: Developing websites with Dreamweaver (6 – 7 June)
We will present all three sessions in a computer user area. The workshop series is aimed at beginners, but basic computer skills and familiarity with the Windows environment are required.
Cost:
Session 1: R2 740
Session 2: R1 890
Session 3: R2 740
The workshop series will be presented in English, with a language-friendly approach between English and Afrikaans. We can accommodate only 20 participants per session, and the closing date is 27 May 2013.
