Self defense workshops

The purpose of this workshop is to empower SU staff to navigate potential criminal risks that threaten their personal safety and wellbeing.

ENVISAGED OUTCOME: Upon completion of this workshop the participants will be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge of criminal and personal safety threats that are common in the SU working environment
Demonstrate increased awareness of such threats
Develop a series of habits or practices that will reduce their personal safety risks
Demonstrate basic skills in dealing with criminal threats, including minimizing bodily harm
Find appropriate support after the trauma of the exposure to criminal threats

Duration of workshop:  The workshop will consist of two sessions of two hours each.


ENROLLMENT PROCESS

•Log on to Sun-e-HR

•Select Sun Employee Self Service

•Select Training and Development, Learner Home. Go to Human Resources to access the courses. Select the course that you want to attend.

•Click on Course Name, then Offering Name and then Class Name.

•Then click on the Enroll button.

•Click on Review and then Submit to complete the process.

•Your application will be sent to your line manager for approval (Placed). After that the course administrator will accept, reject or cancel the application.
