In order to promote continued professional education and development, management of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) once again decided to make funds available for the funding of FMHS staff studies in 2017.
Since staff who study at SU receive a reduction on tuition fees, funds are being made available for studies for qualifications not offered at SU.
An amount of R55 000 will be available for bursaries in 2017. All permanent FMHS staff members (both academic and support staff) qualify for consideration.
Interested persons should submit their applications, by 21st October 2016, to Ms Bertha du Toit (Room 1006, 1st Floor, Clinical Building).
The application must include details of the qualification, a short motivation (maximum one A4 page) and a CV. The adjudicating panel will sit as soon as possible after the due date and applicants will be informed as soon as possible thereafter.
