Doctoral students in the natural and social sciences and mathematics are invited to apply for the Southern African Young Scientists Summer Program (SA-YSSP).
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to spend three months (from 24 November 2013 until 22 February 2014) working with mentors from South Africa and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) on research projects related to their thesis work.
The National Research Foundation (NRF) and IIASA have partnered to present the summer program for a second year. The program will be hosted by the University of the Free State (UF) in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Funding to travel to Bloemfontein and to cover living expenses while there is available for successful applicants.
The deadline for applications is 1 September 2013.
