USAN 2016: Conference for Young Scholars

The Department of Afrikaans and Dutch, Stellenbosch University, is hosting a conference from 19-21 January 2016 for postgraduate students and young researchers. The aim of the conference is to create a platform for young researchers to share their research, based on their postgraduate
studies, with their academic peers.  

The Department of Afrikaans and Dutch invites all postgraduate students (M, PhD and graduated Honours students) and young researchers (who graduated in the past five years) to submit
abstracts for one of the following:
Paper (20 minutes presentation time)
Poster
There are no restrictions on themes, as long as papers/posters are in line with one of the following areas of study:
Literature
Linguistics
Applied Linguistics (Translation, Interpreting, Lexicography, Language Acquisition,
Document analysis and design)
Language of presentation: Afrikaans or English
